AUCSC REVIEW COURSE FOR NACE CORROSION TECHNICIAN EXAM
A special four-hour review course for the NACE Corrosion Technician Exam will be held on Monday during the week of the Short Course, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The fee for taking this review course is $100, which includes a review book. The review course is offered by AUCSC and those wishing to attend should register on their AUCSC registration form.
Registered Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course attendees may apply to take the NACE certification exam for Corrosion Technician or any other NACE stand-alone certification exam including Corrosion Technologist, Senior Corrosion Technologist, Specialty Areas, and Corrosion Specialist. A completed application form for exam registration must be submitted to NACE prior to taking any examination. Attendees wishing to take the NACE certification exam may either register through NACE Headquarters before April 12 each year (please contact Marie Newton at NACE International at (281) 228-6211) or register on-site by visiting the NACE table in the Ruby Community Center at Mylan Park during Exhibition hours during the week of AUCSC. Please note that any payments made to AUCSC for any of the programs associated with the conference are separate from the NACE certification exam fees, and all exam fees must be collected by NACE before the exam may be taken.

OUTDOOR CLINIC
An informal presentation covering basic meter hookups and survey techniques, as well as a review of testing problems and techniques. This is a hands-on clinic familiarizing students with instruments used on a daily basis.

CORROSION MATHEMATICS
A refresher course on the mathematical fundamentals and procedures used by corrosion technicians. All students are welcome, but students taking the Basic Course are strongly encouraged to attend.
BASIC ELECTRICITY
A refresher course covering the basic principles of electricity, with emphasis on those principles that are applicable to the work of corrosion control technicians. All students are welcome, but students taking the Basic Course are strongly encouraged to attend.
ROUNDTABLE
This open discussion provides students an opportunity to present questions concerning corrosion control procedures to a group of experienced engineers. Pertinent portions of the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced voluntary exams will be covered. Questions may be presented either in written form or from the floor.
